A staple in just about very person’s diet growing up // I know I’m not the only one that grew up on this sodium-filled package of pure goodness. Were you one of the people that would eat the crispy, raw noodles from the bottom of the bag? Did you break the noodles or put them in the water whole? And most importantly, did you put an egg or two in it? Because if not, it ain’t real. This meal always brings me back to the days when I had nothing to worry about besides homework and football practice. A lot has changed since then, but this still tastes the same… Delicious. #nissin #topramen #hoodfood #photography #devonitaleephotography #vscocam
Creepin on me, creepin on you // Always so liberating to go back to basics. Today I took to the beautiful streets on public trans instead of my car, left my DSLR at home and stuck to my film. Although the luxury of having a car does come in handy, it’s good to take a back seat every once in a while and allow your mind to really lose itself in creativity. Give it a try and see what you find… #photography #devonitaleephotography #film #filmaintdead #canon #losangeles #la #metro #mta #street #art #originalphotography
Slow down // Trying my hand with some new film today. Ilford FP4 125. Been shooting with the #ilford 400 recently, which is faster film than the 125. But I had to switch it up. Now off to the streets for a nice day of shooting. Holler at a player when you see him in the streets 📷 #photography #devonitaleephotography #film #filmaintdead #canon (at Samys Camera)
Go places with your significant other, see the world, share the experiences and be happy. See where the world ends…and then keep going.
Embrace the elders in your life. Not only because they may be related to you and are essentially the reason you are here today, but because the wiser that are still here among us have so much to share. Recipes, know-how, life lessons…they’re full of it. (Not in the smartass, metaphorical way)
If you are fortunate enough to have these living legends in your life, take some time to just talk to them. Better yet, don’t even talk. Just LISTEN. We all know history has a way of repeating itself and the lessons that they learned in the past may help you in the future. Think about it, if you take the time to soak in as much knowledge NOW, you may significatnly decrease your chances of using the phrase “If I knew what I know now…”
Never. Stop. Learning.
Also, love your old people. They deserve it..
I’ve been pretty distant lately Tumblr, sorry. I’ve really been focusing on my film game. Subsequently, I haven’t shot very many digitals. But don’t worry, I have not forgotten about my ever so handy DSLR. Here are a couple views from my latest east coast (Cape Cod, Mass.) visit. I have some new material on film that I’m VERY excited to share with you… Soon, very soon.
