Waiting #la #metro #commute
Feels good to be back in a learning environment. This time, doing what I love. #schoolboyd #Pasadena #college #canon #photography (at Pasadena City College)
Can’t describe the feeling I have right now. May not be a big deal to you (yet), but seeing my artwork in the flesh for the first time feels amazing. My first quality prints came in today and I can’t wait to share them with you. #photography #prints #losangeles #canon #photographersontumblr
The best camera that you have is the one that you have on you.
I can’t remember who said that or if that’s even the exact quote. But if you’re reading this, hats off to you.
I believe that a great, effective photo is entirely up to you and your imagination. Composing your shot, gauging the light, timing it correctly; it’s all YOU. The camera only captures it.
Here are a couple shots that I’ve captured with my phone (iPhone 5s) in the last couple of weeks. I scrolled through my photo album and realized I have quite a few gems hidden away in there that deserve to be seen. There will be more to come..
Film ain’t dead
Just welcomed this flea-market find to the family. Many treasures are to be discovered at flea markets, this is definitely one of them. An immaculate body, carrying case, 2 lenses, UV filter, original strap, power winder and even a brand new roll of film for a grand total of $55. Can’t get much better than that. I can’t wait to dive deeper into the film game.
Getting out and embracing the nature does wonders for the mind and body. Fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a great sense of serenity. Just a couple days away from your everyday grind can serve as a type of biological reset button for the mind and body. Feels amazing! Show Mother Nature some love and she’ll give it right back.
A few shots from my trip to Washington State last week. I spent most of the trip camping in Millersylvania, right outside of Olympia, but was able to make a quick trip to Seattle to get some city shots in. Ironically, I got ZERO pictures of the Spaceneedle… Oh well, gives me a reason to go back soon.
Living in Washington as a child, I never really took time to appreciate how beautiful the state was. Felt good going back and taking it all in.
Did I mention you can now walk down the street with a fully-lit blunt in your mouth in Washington? Reason number 2 on my list of why I love the Pacific Northwest
